I’m a lover of Italian cuisine and Vapiano is an amazing place to go for that!
They have a special self service whereby you get a card on the entrance, you give your order directly to the chef, choose the type of pasta and sauce you want, and scan your card at the end to record your order on it. Then you pay through that same card before leaving. It is both fast and convenient.
As for the food, it is AMAZING! We tried the chicken alfredo pasta and the crema di funghi pasta, both were delicious, and the portions are great! We also ordered the ceaser salad in small portion and it was enough for two.
The prices are not so cheap, but same as any pasta dish elsewhere.
I highly recommend trying Vapiano next time you’re in Abu Dhabi mall.

Vapiano nestled inside Abu Dhabi Mall doesn’t look like much, but once inside it definitely is one of a kind. I’m not sure whether it’s the way the decor is done, or the view or the fact that it’s so different to the usual,traditional restaurant with a waiter but it’s definitely worth trying. I loved that I could choose my own pasta and there wasn’t a set menu. Once you get over the fact that there is no set menu, it’s quite a lovely process. The pasta is divine, just the right amount of sauce and pasta is made al dente so thoroughly enjoyed it. The ambiance is good. Waiters are helpful and extremely pleasant. And the view from the restaurant is amazing. Will definitely be visiting again to try the pizza.

Vapiano at Abu Dhabi Mall is a fantastic spot for fans of Italian cuisine. Located in one of the oldest shopping centers in Abu Dhabi, which opened in 2001 and is situated in the business district on the island, the restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere and convenient location. It’s the perfect place to enjoy freshly made pasta or pizza after shopping or during a break between business meetings.
